VIA Rail Canada said it will be add 63 weekly frequencies on July 12 in its Quebec City-Windsor corridor.
The carrier said it also has begun to boost on-board capacity of existing trains while continuing to maintain health and safety measures.
VIA said the increases in capacity and service have occurred in collaboration with public health authorities and federal and provincial governments.
The passenger carrier has limited the number of available seats; deployed sanitary measure protocols on trains and in stations, maintenance centers, call centers and offices; and requires the wearing of facial masks at all times in stations and onboard trains.
