Hertz rental car company plans to open an office in the St. Paul Union Depot, which is served by Amtrak’s Chicago-Seattle/Portland Empire Builder.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to serve Amtrak customers and the local community at Union Depot,” Hertz General Manager Jeremie Torok said. “We look forward to providing travelers with a vehicle that fits their travel plans and needs, while delivering top-notch customer service.”
The office will be the first rental car facility at SPUD and is expected to open in November. Hertz has agreed to a two-year lease agreement.
Hertz said it will offer vacation deals to travelers and award 50 Amtrak Guest Rewards points per day on qualifying car rentals.
In addition to Amtrak, SPUD is used by Metro Transit’s Green Line light rail service.
